Peace Be Still Outreach Center
Founded in 2016, The Peace Be Still Outreach Center (PBSOC) was born out of a vision to bring healing, unity, and restoration to families and youth through biblically inspired leadership and community-based support. Grounded in the teachings of Jesus Christ, our mission is to empower families, youth, and parents by addressing real-life challenges with faith-centered solutions. We believe in healing the brokenhearted (Psalm 147:3), strengthening the weak (Isaiah 40:29), and preparing our communities for a future filled with hope and promise (Jeremiah 29:11)—all while anchoring lives in His peace (Mark 4:39).
Our Impact
At PBSOC, we focus on unity, self-sufficiency, and conflict resolution by training Parent Ambassadors and Youth Ambassadors. These community leaders are equipped to support struggling families, resolve conflicts, and teach essential life skills using biblically based strategies. Our evidence-based model is designed to be replicated across local, state, and national levels—ensuring wide-reaching, long-term impact.
Our Genesis
The vision for PBSOC began with Dr. Frederick Shelton, who submitted a groundbreaking grant proposal to the Lowndes Community Foundation, sponsored by United Way of Lowndes County. The goal was clear: confront issues such as educational apathy, truancy, delinquency, drug use, and crime among our youth. With 501(c)(3) nonprofit status secured, Dr. Shelton launched PBSOC alongside a dedicated network of community partners, all committed to driving positive change. What began as a proposal has grown into a powerful movement transforming families and communities across the region.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
To ensure quality service and availability for all clients, we kindly request that appointments be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to provide timely notice will result in a $60 no-show processing fee. Payment for services, including any applicable fees, is required at the time of the appointment. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Service Application Policy
Clients seeking Coaching, Consulting, or Counseling services must complete a formal application and undergo a $35 assessment prior to entering into a service agreement. All fees, including the assessment, are due at the time of service. A formal service contract will be required for all other services offered. Thank you for your cooperation as we ensure clarity and quality in every client engagement.
